The New Facebook Timeline Layout Improving Non-Profits
The new Timeline format in Facebook allows Non-Profits to maximize strong first impressions and customize their applications.
By March 30, 2012, all Facebook pages will be required to update their pages to the new Timeline layout. However, many non-profit organizations, such as Amnesty International, Goodwill Industries International Inc., and Greenpeace, have already taken the initiative to upgrade their pages to the new format. This new format allows Non-Profits to maximize strong first impressions, as well as customize their applications.
To updgrade your page to the Timeline format, simply go to this link, http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline, and click "Get Timeline". Once upgraded, you will have 7 days before anyone else can see it. This gives you a chance to get your Timeline looking the way you want before other people see it. Facebook will also allow you to take a guided tour to learn how to personalize and set up your page.
